Founded on April 27, 1987, the celebrated Michael’s On East restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. Michael’s On East was one of only ten restaurants in the nation to be inducted into the 2009 Nation’s Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame, considered the Oscars of the restaurant industry, and received their 34th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award in 2023. In February 2012, U.S. Airways Magazine selected Michael’s On East as an East Coast Icon, in good company with the ‘21’ Club in New York City.

Michael’s Events & Catering is Sarasota’s premiere caterer creating memorable events from candlelit dinners for two to dazzling galas for 1,000 guests held at any venue. The Michael’s On East Ballroom in Midtown Plaza can host up to 550 guests for a seated event or 1,000 for a reception. The Ballroom is easily partitioned for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The stunning glass-covered garden atrium space works beautifully for cocktail receptions. Michael’s is happy to accommodate your client’s audio/visual needs, including projection screen and microphone, as well as Wi-Fi capabilities.
The newest addition to the Michael’s family is the hip, urban Michael’s Wine Cellar which hosts more than 1,000 International estate-bottled wines. The Wine Cellar also offers premium & boutique spirits, imported & craft beers and more than 200 boutique wines under $20. Store hours are Tuesday–Saturday 10am–6pm. The wine store can also be transformed into a magical space perfect for any type of special event, including luncheons and rehearsal dinners for 125 guests up to 200 guests for receptions.
