Since 2003, Michael and Terri Klauber have led a group of adventurous culinary and eager wine explorers all over the world. This year's Epicurean adventure had GCCC members tasting the finest food and wine in Greece & Turkey! As Co-Proprietor of Michael's On East and Michael's Wine Cellar, Michael Klauber started the Connoisseur Club trips with the idea of bringing back the best international cuisine and wines to the town where it all started 35 years ago. Michael's On East's monthly Epicurean menu is the result of months of meticulous planning which culminates into a three-week trip, ensuring no part of a region goes undiscovered. "Terri and Michael organized a fab-a-minute ultimate food and wine experience like no other and as foodies we couldn't resist following their lead and joining in! Every step of the way was carefully planned and executed beautifully, we just had to show up and enjoy! We look forward to joining them again in the future for another great adventure!," says GCCC member Lola White. Every restaurant and vineyard are specifically chosen by Michael and Terri, each one comes highly acclaimed and recommended by industry experts.
The GCCC Greece & Turkey trip went far beyond food & wine, members visited archaeological sites and historical monuments like Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Parthenon. Everything from lodging to transportation is booked well in advance ensuring a flawless transition from site to site.
